Moving to TURKEY, it was a pleasant surprise to find such a big history and tradition in tango music.  Still every day there are MILONGA in different parts of the city.  And they are attended by the older and the young ones.   Ranging from the traditional Turk Tango-style to Argentine Tango and even Neo Tango.   The level of dancing is on international standards and the local tango schools regularly invite the most renown teachers to their workshops, events and festivals.  And they even get invited to demonstrate and enrich tango dancing all over the world. 

Tango is very much alive in Turkey !

Looking deeper, one even can discover an underlying tradition of "tango turkish style" that gave birth to dictinct compositions and style, as you will discover whilst downloading and listening to the available songs: TURK TANGO !

This search gave birth to the need to know MORE of Turkish history as a whole and TURK TANGO in particular.  Eternal thanks to Aydoğan and Şule ARKIS who voluntarily gave access to their rich sources and vast knowledge on this subject and without whose help and friendship this portal never would have been possible.
